About me
Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a counsellor based in Thanet, and I work with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, feeling disconnected, or a bit lost in themselves or their relationships. If you’re struggling to find your voice, feeling stuck, or carrying more than you let on, you’re in the right place.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist, and I believe the relationship we build together is the most important part of the work. My style is gentle, calm, and honest. I’ll really listen, help you make sense of what’s going on underneath the surface, and support you to feel more confident in yourself and your needs.
Many of the people I support are dealing with stress, burnout, tricky relationship dynamics, have a diagnosis of ADHD or are experiencing big changes in life.
Some want to feel more connected in their relationships or understand why certain patterns keep repeating. Others simply want a space where they can talk openly without feeling judged or rushed.
Before private practice, I worked in NHS crisis and psychiatric liaison teams, in the Home Resolution Service, and with students at East Kent Colleges. This means I’m used to sitting with big emotions and supporting people through difficult or confusing times.
If you’re looking for a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and start putting yourself first again, I’d love to support you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’ve worked with adults through a range of challenges, including relationship issues, self-esteem, loss, and life transitions. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I continue to learn and grow through ongoing training and supervision.
I have 4 years of experience of working in secondary mental health services in the NHS.
