About me
Hi, I'm Hannah, a psychotherapeutic counsellor in Eastbourne, East Sussex and I also work online.
I set up Kestrel Counselling in Eastbourne because I wanted to offer clients the most effective treatments possible. By blending counselling and coaching approaches I help my clients to identify the traumas which formed barriers to their own happiness and also gain the skills to overcome them.
From my calm and relaxed therapy room in Eastbourne I offer you a safe space to fully explore the past and to identify how your past experiences are shaping your current responses. I use a lot of psychodynamic approaches, looking at the way you unconsciously respond based on past trauma. By making these hidden responses known, you gain the ability to take control and choose how you want to respond.
I have particular specialism in relationship therapy, helping couples to build healthy communication habits, also also in helping people overcome narcissistic relationships. I understand how the nature of a psychologically damaging relationship can cause lasting harm, affecting your sense of self worth, your trust in your own decision making and your resilience. I help my clients to rebuild themselves to gain a new found feeling of empowerment.
It is my personal mission to give each client the most effective therapy that they can get.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
