About me
My name is Gill and I provide counselling and personal and professional coaching.
Are you struggling at the moment? Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or have low moods? Would you like to explore where these feelings come from and learn more effective ways to cope?
Are you struggling with change, feeling stuck or finding it difficult to process a recent or past trauma?
Would you like to explore strategies for neurodiversity or process a recent diagnosis.
Maybe you are not sure where you want to go and feel a disconnect with the world and would like to find direction.
I offer a friendly, supportive, non judgemental space to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours as well as working with you you to develop strategies and work out a clearer path to the future you want.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor which means I draw skills and tools from different theoretical approaches to tailor my support to each client's individual needs to explore, understand and work through issues. Alongside talking therapy, I offer creative approaches such as art, creative writing, visualisation, guided meditation, sand tray and mindfulness.
I work with clients mostly face to face but I am also able to support you via telephone, video calls or Zoom. I would be happy to discuss the options with you should you wish to explore working together.
How can counselling help?
Counselling can be a transformative and healing experience as we spend time reflecting on our thoughts and feelings in the presence of another person. We all have the capacity to make the changes needed to move forward when we are given the time and patience to understand ourselves better. I work in a warm, authentic and compassionate way. I will sit alongside you to explore issues and ultimately find ways to cope.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
