About me

You might be feeling anxious or flat, maybe you are experiencing unresolved grief, feeling stuck, or perhaps you are unhappy within your relationships (romantic, familial or friendship), whatever it may be, we can begin to acknowledge it together. I will be a facilitator in your therapeutic journey. We will discover the tools and insights that will enable you to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.

I work with individuals, couples and all intimate partnerships. I assist couples and partners in navigating differences in desire and trust concerns, while also aiding those seeking improved communication, security, and connection.

I will help you to unravel the complexities of your current circumstances; delve deep into your own identity, experiences, and behavioural tendencies; confront challenges in your relationships and unveil recurring patterns. I guide and support you in what you would like to change or confront in yourself in a warm and welcoming space.

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist specialising in working with anxiety, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ folks, however, everybody is welcome. I have a background in the arts and bring creativity and humour (when appropriate) into the work. I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute Zoom call to see if we are a good fit.

I see clients in-person at HQ Therapy in Haggerston and Dalston, as well as online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (MBACP 401057) ) and I have worked as a therapist in London at METRO, a LGBTQ+ charity, and the CPPD Low Cost Counselling Service. I am also a Sessional Counsellor at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

I often work with people in the creative arts and some of my additional specialities include: people new to counselling/therapy, sexuality, gender dysphoria, coping with anxiety and stress, unresolved childhood issues and attachment, complex trauma and grief. I also often work with heterosexual cisgendered men who are looking to explore their deeper emotions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I can't guarantee therapy will be easy, but my hope is that it will be rewarding and healing for you. I believe that looking into our past informs where we are in the here and now and once we start to excavate why we think, feel and behave the way we do, we start to uncover what is truly ours. This, I believe, is the foundation for clarity, growth and compassion.
