About me
Welcome to Online counselling!
I qualified as a Counsellor in 2018, after a five-year period of training alongside my fulltime job as a teacher. When I retired from teaching in 2020, I moved from Austria to England to join my husband. I’ve got long experience in being a Mum of three, running a family, working as a teacher, volunteering in local organisations, whilst keeping myself on top of developments with further training.
Life has not spared me with its ups and downs and I myself was desperately looking for help when problems I had suppressed in the past started to affect my health.
As you are reading my profile on the Counselling Directory you’ve already made a big step into a new chapter in your life. The decision to seek help is a very difficult one to make and I’m glad that you’ve overcome this hurdle.
Life is very challenging for you at the moment. You're experiencing grief and loss or suffer of low self-esteem, anxiety or have problems with your relationship and you’re reaching out for support.
What can I do for you in your special situation?
We can all have experiences that leave us feeling despondent and at a loss. Everything can change from one day to the next when we are confronted with the loss of a partner, child or other family member. Not knowing what to do, sleepless nights or feelings of guilt and anger are appropriate and normal reactions. I can accompany you through the process of mourning and saying goodbye with sensitivity and help create the space in which you can express your pain and develop new perspectives. The loss of a job, health or a dream also causes grief and this requires processing in a similar way.
I am happy to help you overcome the challenges in your present situation, find new perspectives, develop solutions for your concerns and recognise your gifts and strengths. Together we can identify your needs and find new purpose, and joy in your life.
When we talk, we can take the time and space to explore your problems without criticism or judgment. Often, the possibility to confide to a neutral person in a protected setting helps to reduce tension and provide lasting benefits.
What to expect in your first session:
I adhere to rules of confidentiality and will give you a copy once we are to work together. I will need some basic facts, and then we will need to spend time clarifying the counselling process so you can get the best out of it.
Following this I will ask you to further outline the problems you would like addressed and then suggest ways forward.
I will listen to your concerns, worries and feelings so that I can give support, and help you on your path to a happier life.
If you have any questions or would like further information please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
