About me
Trauma does not only live in memory; it can shape the emotional world we come to recognise as home. What is first learned may later become familiar, and what is familiar may be repeated, even when it wounds.
When reliable connection has not been familiar, closeness and consistency can be deeply longed for, yet feel exposing, unsafe, or unreal when they arrive. A person may reach toward connection while also finding themselves in patterns that keep them distant from the closeness they most need but struggle to feel. This can show itself in social life, intimate relationships, work, and even in the process of beginning therapy.
In my open-ended psychodynamic work, I aim to create a safe and reliable space where emerging relational patterns can be observed and understood as they arise in the therapeutic process. I prioritise boldness, openness, transparency, and genuine presence. Where dreams emerge, I welcome them as meaningful expressions of the unconscious, drawing on my postgraduate research in dream work.
