About me

Loss, bereavement, grief, feelings of sadness, stress or worry can leave us feeling anxious or depressed and we might not know how to manage those symptoms.

I'm a registered psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor working with adults and young adults with issues such as trauma, bereavement, anxiety, feeling sad and loneliness, relationship problems and long-term illness.

Choosing to embark on a therapeutic journey and searching for a therapist can feel daunting and overwhelming, yet at the same time it is incredibly brave of you, being here is the first step.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, which means I will be working alongside you on this personal journey, meeting you where you are at with empathy and compassion. It is a space in which we can think together, about feelings, understanding your emotions and the trauma and losses which you may have endured. This may be affecting you in the present with a range of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or feeling low. The therapeutic relationship which we will build, through trust and confidentiality, will hope to facilitate change and enable a healing process of past and present emotional experiences.

Life is full of struggles, yet, how we manage those struggles can make all the difference to living a full-filling life. Therapy can be a healing process as well as a space to explore and understand yourself and your reactions to others. Exploring your past, your relationships and internal world will help deepen your self awareness and facilitate change.

I offer face to face sessions in my consulting rooms in both Finchley (N3) and West Hampstead (NW6). I also offer online sessions.

I offer a free, no obligation, 15 minute telephone consultation, where we can discuss your needs or any questions you may have. After which, if you are happy to go ahead, we can arrange a first session to meet and see if we can work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
