About me
I am a personable and experienced Psychotherapist dedicated to working with people experiencing psychological difficulties taking up a lot of space in their lives. These difficulties can often get in the way of experiencing joy in the present moment and prevent us from living life according to our values and what really matters to us. Together, we can work through these blockages developing more capacity for the difficult experiences that show up by exploring and shifting held beliefs, finding new approaches to address unhelpful behavioural patterns in order to make room within our cluttered mental space for more of the important stuff that makes life feel full and meaningful.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist accredited with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Health Anxiety and low self-esteem issues. Having spent much of my practice working within NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression services, I have had the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, experiences and challenges. I have experience working with a number of modalities to ensure I can offer a varied therapeutic approach based varying needs. As a therapist, I have a particular interest in helping to identify learning patterns and how these can often shape our experiences within the here and now and help to discover more helpful patterns to help achieve the lives we seek.

Further information
It is important to me that you are at the centre of your therapy journey. I take a holistic approach to the work we complete by learning more about what makes you, you; your interests, you past experiences, who you love, what you do for fun, what you do now and what you hope to do. You are bigger that your difficulties and working collaboratively with you to help you get back in touch with you is one of my greatest joys and privileges.
Our experiences are part of the story that contributes to how we navigate the world, how we view ourselves and how we view and interact with others. As varied and often challenging as these experiences can be, they do not define us, nor do they have to dictate to us how we choose to live our lives. Developing an awareness and understanding of the patterns we have learned throughout our lives enables us to then decide on whether these patterns still serve us and most importantly, decide on how we want to live our lives going forward.
