About me

I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering a calm, compassionate, and professional space for adults seeking therapy. I work with clients who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, cut off from their aspirations, or struggling to shift unwanted thoughts and patterns of behaviour.

People come to therapy for many reasons, and no reason is right or wrong. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, difficult life transitions, unresolved trauma, or simply feeling exhausted, numb, or lost in the noise of it all. Whatever brings you here is welcome, and you do not have to navigate it alone.

As the founder of Agency Therapy, I am deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. My belief in therapy’s capacity to heal and transform comes from witnessing meaningful growth in my clients and from experiencing the impact of therapy within my own life.

How I work

I work integratively, drawing on a range of psychological, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches to tailor therapy to you as an individual. My approach is down-to-earth, relaxed, and grounded in compassion, curiosity, and creativity. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together at your pace.

Together, we will explore the inner workings of your world, make sense of difficult experiences, and uncover new insights that support meaningful and lasting change. Therapy is not only a space for healing and growth, but also a place to recognise resilience,  meaning and moments of lightness whilst honouring your strengths and aspirations.

My intention is to support you in moving toward a life that feels more grounded, balanced, and aligned with who you truly are.

I draw from psychotherapy, relational therapy, somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems, and cognitive and behavioural approaches. As a Clinical Complex Trauma Professional, I utilise structured trauma-informed stabilisation treatment, and I also use EMDR as an evidence-based approach to help process and heal the emotional impact of trauma in a safe and contained way.

What to expect

Sessions last 50 minutes and can be offered as short or long term therapy, depending on your needs. Therapy takes place in a confidential and supportive setting, and our work is guided by trust, safety, and professional experience. An initial conversation allows us to explore what you are looking for and whether working together feels right for you.

Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or queries.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified, insured, and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in line with their ethical framework. I hold a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling and am committed to ongoing professional development through regular training, supervision, and reflective practice.

I am an EMDR Certified Practitioner, having trained with EMDR Centre London, and hold Clinical Complex Trauma Professional certificates at Levels I and II. My work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, drawing on integrative psychotherapy, EMDR, and somatic approaches, tailored carefully to each individual.

Alongside my private practice, I have worked within a charitable organisation in the Domestic Abuse Service, supporting individuals with complex relational and emotional difficulties. I also have extensive experience working within drug and alcohol services and am familiar with working alongside the 12 Step recovery programme.

In addition to my clinical work, I bring over 20 years of experience as a freelance creative, working both in front of and behind the camera. This background has shaped my understanding of identity, visibility, pressure, and performance, and informs my work with people from all walks of life, where discretion, sensitivity, and nuance are essential.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy photography, music, travel, reading, and open water swimming.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
