About me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with nearly 2 decades experience working with vulnerable children and adults from all walks of life in many different roles.
I have recently created a safe and welcoming space so I can do what I love most. Support people to recover from trauma, improve their self esteem, improve their mood and create deep and meaningful changes that last.
I have supported people who have experienced anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, bereavement, phobias, rape, domestic abuse, OCD, PTSD, stress/burnout, agoraphobia, low self esteem, panic attacks, ADHD and Autism. So many people have said to me that it is hopeless that things will never get better, but I really can confidently say that there is light at the end of the tunnel and things can change. I have seen it many times before.
I love seeing people face to face, but I can offer online sessions as well if that is preferable. My space is based in Knightswood with good public transport access and on street parking. I also offer home visits if that is something that would work well for you.
If you are interested and want to learn more I offer a free consultation over the phone so you can find out what it's all about. If you feel like you are struggling, please feel free to reach out either by phone or message. I am here to help.

Anonymised Testimonials:
‘I wanted to express my gratitude for the CBT therapy sessions that I attended with Cathy. The impact it has had on my life has been truly remarkable, and I wanted to share my feedback!
I am amazed at how CBT therapy has helped me navigate major life decisions and changes. Through my sessions, Cathy provided me with invaluable tools and techniques to challenge and reframe my negative thought patterns. Which allowed me to approach decision-making with a newfound sense of clarity and confidence.
Her guidance and expertise have been instrumental in helping me identify and address the underlying beliefs and fears that were holding me back. By challenging these thoughts and replacing them with more rational and positive ones, I have been able to make significant progress in my personal and professional life.
Furthermore, the strategies and exercises we worked on during our sessions have proven to be incredibly effective, they have allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of my thoughts and emotions, enabling me to make more informed choices. The skills I have acquired through CBT have become an integral part of my daily life, and I continue to apply them to various situations, both big and small.
Overall, I cannot thank Cathy enough for the positive impact CBT therapy has had on my life. Her expertise, empathy, and unwavering support have made this journey transformative and empowering. I am now equipped with the tools and mindset necessary to face major life decisions and changes with confidence.
I am truly grateful for everything she has done.’
"When Linda also suggested the Tuesday CBT sessions with Cathy. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and in doing so, I have completely changed not only my views on therapy but my whole life.
I knew in the very first session that she was going to be a fantastic listener and give me incredible tools to better myself.
Every single session has been the most perfect balance of a casual chat to pinpoint what my issues are and the practicality of putting solutions and coping mechanisms in place to work through those issues.
I have been given tools to improve my self-worth and reduce intense emotions and panic attacks that I have struggled with for 33 years. I have been given not just healthy but truly personal coping mechanisms to deal with stress and anxiety. I have had negative beliefs challenged that have led to lightbulb moments and changes in core beliefs. I have learned so much about myself and what tools really, genuinely help me to manage my emotions.
I truly believe everyone can benefit from CBT in some way. Everyone has some kind of battle they are fighting or a damaging core belief which needs that lightbulb moment.
Cathy is incredible at what she does. She is a warm, kind soul who makes you feel at ease. She allows you to dive deep into how you feel with no pressure and gives the opportunity to see things from a completely different perspective. Her knowledge comes across in such a clever way that gives so much clarity and hope for bettering not just your mental health, but your whole life.
I truly hope this can be a long-term service within the business especially with such an amazing therapist."
