About me

Are you feeling stuck in anxiety, weighed down by shame, or struggling to make sense of life’s challenges? Even if you’re unsure about where to start, that’s okay. Reaching out for support is a courageous step, and I’m here to help you navigate the uncertainty. Together, we’ll explore how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Therapy provides a space to pause, reflect, and process, especially when life feels overwhelming.

I believe therapy often involves grieving. Not just the loss of loved ones, but also the loss of opportunities, relationships, or the life you imagined for yourself. Perhaps you’ve experienced estrangement, a broken friendship, or a career setback. Or maybe you’re mourning the gap between where you are and where you hoped to be. These feelings are valid, and together, we can work through the pain and uncover how these experiences have shaped you.

In a world that values quick fixes, it’s easy to push aside uncomfortable thoughts and emotions, only for them to resurface later. Healing is not a straight path. It’s a journey of understanding, growth, and adaptation. I view symptoms as signals from the body and mind, inviting us to pay attention and find clarity. While starting therapy can feel daunting, it can also be the beginning of profound change. To help you feel comfortable, I offer a free 20-minute call so we can see if we’re the right fit.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Loss and bereavement
  • Shame
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Life transitions
  • Trauma and neglect
  • Low self-esteem
  • Suicidal ideation

As an integrative therapist with a trauma-informed approach, I draw from psychodynamic, existential, and person-centered therapies. This flexibility allows me to tailor our work to suit your unique needs and circumstances.

Every healing journey is deeply personal. Mental health isn’t a straight line you “recover” from... it’s a dynamic process, full of ups and downs, and part of what makes us human. Therapy helps you acknowledge and integrate the scars of your experiences, making space for healing. This doesn’t mean accepting the unacceptable. It means approaching life’s pain with compassion and releasing what no longer serves you.

Let’s work together to help you move toward greater understanding, acceptance, and growth.

I consider power dynamics both inside and outside the therapy room and continually seek to learn about myself and my privilege. I am committed to being LGBTQIA+ affirming and an anti-racist practicioner. Humility is key in my practice. Contact me today to schedule your initial consultation.

This journey is not linear. There is no final destination of cured and healed. Healing is a never-ending process. It is an eternal unfolding - an eternal unfolding of understanding. It is about navigating the nuanced shades of healing. Where progress isn't measured by erasing our pain but our capacity to engage with it constructively. To weave our traumas into the fabric of who we are without letting them define us.” - Mollie Adler

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and am a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists.

I have experience of providing therapy in a low-cost mental health agency, on a bereavement team in a hospice, and in a charity working with HIV+ clients, suicidal individuals, and trauma. I have worked with people from many different identities and backgrounds, facing a broad range of challenges. I am passionate about community mental health and have worked with many grassroots organisations around suicide prevention and general mental health.

I am committed to participating in additional training and lifelong learning, particularly in the areas of trauma, embodiment, systemic oppression and collective care. I have completed training in Cultural Competency, Bereavement Skills, Basic DBT Skills Training, Understanding our Intersectional Identity training, Compassion Focused Therapy and Parts Work. I am regularly attending Continuing Professional Development to deepen my learning around the areas I am interested in. I am someone who is hungry for knowledge and believe that I will always be improving my practice.

I am a Canadian living in London. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the field of community-based suicide prevention. I believe in the importance of knowing the resources available to you in your community for additional support. I also have experience in the funeral sector which has given me significant experience working in bereavement. I am passionate about normalising conversations that are often seen as taboo.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
