We are a not for profit organisation and charity offering psychotherapy and counselling for families, young people, children, adults and couples. We charge a fee of £73 - £93 (updated annually, please check our website for up to date fees) for our self-referral counselling services but we also provide free services for children in schools and via social services.
Established in 1984 and Bristol based, we have a strong commitment to providing accessible, high quality clinical services to a wide range of people.
Training, qualifications & experience
All counsellors and psychotherapists at The Bridge Foundation are qualified and experienced professionals. All receive regular supervision and work to a professional code of ethics such as British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, British Psychoanalytic Council, United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and Association of Child Psychotherapists.
Member organisations *
The ACP is the registering body for NHS trained Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists. ACP members undergo a minimum 6 year training; two years at Masters level then 4 years full-time clinical in the NHS qualifying in a Doctorate Level course. Full members are able to work with neonates, mothers & babies, parents & toddlers, primary school age children & adolescents. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Additional information
Our fees for our self referral services are £70 or £90, depending on family income. We provide some free commissioned services via schools and the adoption support fund and other social services.

We are offering appointments Monday to Friday either in person, remotely via Zoom or Teams or telephone. We don't have a waiting list for adult psychotherapy at the moment.
