Arise Counselling Service
Arise Counselling Service is a confidential, christian Counselling service that offers affordable, professional counselling for a wide-range of issues to those living in East Grinstead and the surrounding area. We seek to affirm the dignity of each individual and believe everyone should have the chance to find hope and experience lives of purpose and meaning. We believe that therapeutic counselling provides one opportunity to gain these qualities more fully. We are based at the Jubilee Community Centre in East Grinstead with free parking and good access to train and local bus services.
There are many reasons why you may be seeking a counsellor right now: you may be feeling low or overwhelmed, facing relationship difficulties at home or work, processing a loss or a recent or past trauma. Counselling offers an opportunity to talk with a caring professional, who has can listen without bias or judgement. Our counsellors are trained in a range of counselling approaches and are able to work with you through a wide-range of issues (please see our website for more details).
We do not receive outside funding and therefore ask for a contribution towards our costs. We offer weekly sessions of 50 minutes at a fee that is affordable to a range of budgets. Once you have contacted the service, a member of the counselling team will call to discuss your query further, including your availability and agree payment and answer your initial questions. You will then be allocated a counsellor.
Training, qualifications & experience
All our counsellors are on the national counselling register and hold full counselling qualifications at Dip HE, Degree or Masters level. They are members of either British Association of Counsellors Psychotherapists or Association of Christian Counsellors and work within the ethics and code of practice of their membership organisation.
