EMDR therapist (Accred) / counsellor MBACP( Accred)

About me

If you’re here, something in your life may feel heavy, overwhelming or stuck. Many of the women who come to me have been carrying painful experiences alone for years — anxiety, old wounds, difficult memories, relationship patterns, or a sense of “never feeling enough.” They’re tired of being strong for everyone else and longing for a space that feels safe, warm and deeply understanding.

What I often hear is:
“You make sense of what I’m feeling.”
“I finally feel seen.”
“Your warmth helped me relax straight away.”

Women choose to work with me because they want a therapist who truly gets trauma — someone who understands the impact of childhood experiences, cultural expectations, attachment wounds, sexual trauma and emotional neglect. Someone who can help them make sense of the anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, numbness, shutdown or overwhelm that shows up today.

I provide online therapy, so you can access support from a space where you feel most comfortable and grounded.

I specialise in supporting women navigating:

anxiety, panic, worry and emotional overwhelm
low self-esteem, internal critics and feeling “not enough”
trauma, PTSD and complex trauma
childhood trauma, attachment wounds and inner child pain
sexual trauma, sexual abuse and childhood sexual abuse
emotional abuse, relational trauma and domestic abuse
family patterns that still shape adult relationships
social anxiety, fear of visibility and difficulty speaking up
grief, loss, identity shifts and life transitions
My role is to help you make sense of what you’re carrying, feel safer in your body, and reconnect with the parts of you that deserve gentleness, strength and compassion. You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need to go into detail for healing to begin. We move at the pace that feels safe for you.

You don’t have to do this on your own anymore.
I’m here to walk with you.

🌿 HOW I WORK
My approach is relational, trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that healing happens through safety, connection and understanding. I integrate EMDR, EMDR intensives, Brainspotting, Flash Technique, parts work (IFS/Ego States), somatic awareness and talk therapy — adapting the work to what your system needs.

Together, we gently explore:

the root of your anxiety or emotional pain
patterns that began in childhood or past relationships
beliefs that keep you small, silent or overwhelmed
nervous system responses like fight, flight, freeze or fawn
the younger parts of you who learned to survive difficult experiences
what you need to feel calmer, safer and more grounded
You’ll learn strategies to manage anxiety, soothe overwhelm, build self-worth and create more secure internal and external boundaries. The aim is not just coping — it’s change that feels real, embodied and lasting.

🌿 THERAPIES I OFFER
I offer all modalities online via secure video, giving you access to trauma therapy from a space where you feel safe and comfortable.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing)
EMDR is highly effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, low self-worth, childhood trauma, grief and difficult memories that continue to affect your daily life. Many women find EMDR especially helpful when talking alone hasn’t shifted deeper pain.

EMDR Intensives
Longer, focused sessions for women wanting deeper or faster progress. Intensives can support those feeling stuck, overwhelmed or ready to make meaningful change.

Brainspotting
A gentle, body–brain therapy that helps process trauma stored in the nervous system. Especially helpful if you struggle to put things into words, feel dissociated, or carry emotional pain in the body.

Flash Technique
A less intrusive trauma-processing method that helps reduce the emotional charge of distressing memories without needing to talk about them in detail.

Parts Work (IFS/Ego States)
Helps you understand and care for the different parts of you that protect, please, cope or carry pain from earlier experiences.

HOW EMDR CAN HELP
EMDR can support healing from:

trauma, PTSD and complex trauma
anxiety, panic and overwhelm
intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and body memories
childhood trauma and attachment wounds
grief, loss and unresolved emotional pain
low self-worth and negative core beliefs
relationship patterns rooted in early experiences
You do not need to recount traumatic memories in detail. Your safety, pace and emotional wellbeing guide the process.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I also offer EMDR Intensives for women who feel ready for a deeper, more focused approach to their healing. Intensives take place online and involve longer sessions (4 -7 hours) over one or two days. This can be especially helpful if you feel stuck, want to make meaningful progress in a shorter time, or already have a therapist but would like additional brief  trauma-focused support to work on something particular issues.

Whether weekly, bi-weekly or as an intensive, therapy with me is always paced gently and safely. If my profile speaks to you, we can arrange an initial exploratory session to see how it feels to work together — with no pressure and no obligation to continue if it’s not the right fit.

I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you where you are.
