About me
Hello, I'm Sandra. I am passionate about helping people live happier, more fulfilling lives and achieve their dreams. Maybe you are having problems with anxiety, panic, low self esteem or relationships. Feeling low or depressed? Perhaps life just seems a bit too much like hard work then please contact me.
I wonder if you have ever thought about seeing a counsellor?
We are living in uncertain and challenging times. Many people are feeling worried and anxious. There have been dramatic changes to how we live our lives.
I am seeing clients face to face at Trinity House. We have a good Covid 19 Safety Protocol in place to keep you and our staff members safe during these unusual times.
I am not offering sessions via Skype, Zoom or telephone at this time
If you are feeling worried or anxious in this current uncertain time talking to someone outside your family and friends can often help you deal with the feelings. How would it feel to be able to do that?
You may have come to a point in your life. and right now you don't know which way to turn. The current situation has had this effect. Are you perhaps beginning to question who you are and what you want from life? How would it be to take a closer look at those thoughts and questions with someone who is trained to help you find some meaning and a way forward?
I am a qualified Counsellor and CBT Therapist. I offer a range of talking therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I believe also that Mindfulness can help us live calmer, more balanced lives.
You can have an appointment in Macclesfield SK10 on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Which is best for you?
I am also a qualified Life Coach and Personal Development Trainer. I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Coaching. I am an NLP practitioner.
I work in a number of different ways - one to one Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and one to one Life Coaching
Often a combination of Counselling/CBT, and coaching is an effective way forward.
By using any one or a combination of all three you could begin to live the life you want.
I also offer supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and Life Coaches.
If you would like to subscribe to my free monthly newsletter full of tips and ideas on a whole range of topics send me an email with NEWSLETTER in the subject box and I'll add you to the list.
Counselling offers a safe place to get to know yourself a little bit better.
It is a place where you will not be judged, given advice or told what to do.
You will be given time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings and get some balance back into your life.
If life is feeling a bit of a struggle - try to remember- it was never meant to be difficult. Counselling may help you find the perspective you need, because every minute spent angry is sixty seconds of happiness wasted.
LIFE COACHING
As a Life Coach let me ask you a some of questions:
Are you confident and comfortable with yourself?
Do you feel you are achieving your full potential?
Do you wake up every day feeling good about yourself?
Are you motivated and happy?
If you answer NO to any of these questions perhaps you need a Life Coach to help you change your life!
So many people have found working with a life coach to be a life changing experience.
MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness is a powerful and effective tool for managing your life in a more calm and effective manner. It can be as effective as medications in reducing stress, depression and anxiety. Mindfulness has a positive effect on our overall well being, often reducing blood pressure and generally helping you to deal with life's difficult situations. That sounds good, doesn't it?

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I have received my own personal therapy and I know how hard it can be to turn up for that first appointment. I will try to make our first appointment as comfortable as I can for you.
If you feel you would like to make changes to your life or how you respond to situations, counselling may be able to help. We are all different, as you know, I offer a range of ways of working so that you can get the most out of your sessions.
We will work at a pace which is comfortable for you. We will open the door on those dark places but if you don't want to go in right now, that's ok. We can always take a look another time.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy more commonly called CBT is growing in popularity. Research has shown that CBT is effective in a wide range of problems including anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
CBT focuses on the way you think and act in order to help you overcome negative and unhelpful thinking and ways of behaving.
