I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist based in Archway, London N7 and Finchley Central N3 . I offer a safe and confidential space to explore what is troubling you, without fear of being judged.
My training is registered with UKCP psychoanalytic section.
I hold a Diploma in Supervision.
I am a BUPA, Pru Health, Standard Life and most other private health insurance accredited practitioner.
As well as working in private practice since 1997, I have had a great deal of clinical experience in a range of different mental health settings within the NHS. I currently work part time for IAPT (Improved Access to Psychological Therapies) Hillingdon, but have also worked in Barnet borough for many years and in the private medical sector in London W1.
I also supervise qualified counsellors and trainees in the NHS. In private practice, I offer open ended psychoanalytic psychotherapy, brief dynamic therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Supervision to groups and individuals.
The psycho-dynamic approach is based on the concept that we unconsciously repeat patterns from our past during our current lives. During the course of the treatment, there is an opportunity to explore and understand those patterns, and in so doing by looking at symptoms and moods, to bring relief and open up the possibility of deep and lasting movement away from the concerns and difficulties they can cause, thus changing repetitive and unhelpful patterns.
I work with generalised anxiety disorders, affairs and betrayals, anger management and emotional regulation issues , low self esteem or confidence, addictive behaviours , trauma of all kinds and work related issues such as redundancy, work related stress and career issues such as work life balance, career progression.
