HELLO I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychological Therapist . Treatment to address unhealthy thoughts and feelings can begin with your curiosity to get better - SO WELCOME. If you feel lost and confused and can't find the strength and clarity to find a way through it, DONT STAND ALONE. When thoughts and feelings get damaged they need to be treated, do this now and reclaim your life.
I am an experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and Life Coach. I currently work within the NHS, have a Private Practice and work with a Homicidal Bereavement Agency. My clinical work allows me to work with a wide variety of clients. I take a holistic approach to the therapy I offer, treating the whole person and believing the work begins with the relationship between client and therapist.
Whatever your experience, you have a fundamental right as a human being to live without burden or baggage - so whatever you want to share I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space. Part of our work together is the restoration of happiness and harmony in yourself and your environment.
My Psychotherapy, Counselling and CBT skills offer me the opportunity to support you to address problems in your present day thinking and feeling, but I am also a qualified Trauma Therapist supporting clients with more complex issues. If there has been a time when you have experienced an emotionally overwhelming event or events in the past or present, I can help you move on from this. EMDR, which has been approved by NICE for the treatment of PTSD can be used for these deeper issues. However it is also very effective for other issues such as anxiety, depression, abuse, phobias and self-esteem.
My sessions are offered on a weekly basis, although some clients prefer fortnightly, which I can accommodate. The first appointment is your opportunity to decide if you think the therapy I offer is suitable for you and therefore there is no obligation to commit after this session.
WHAT CAN YOU PERSONALLY GAIN FROM THERAPY?
The benefits are very personal and therefore extensive, but below will give you an idea of some of the areas that can be addressed:
