Phoenix Health and Wellbeing is a registered charity that provides support for people with chronic health issues. The support is in the form of counselling and complementary therapies.
We also offer these therapies to private individuals and the proceeds from their sessions goes towards funding our chartable work.
If you come to us for your counselling you will not only benefit from seeing a member of our professional and fully qualified team of counsellors but will also be helping others who would not otherwise be able to afford this service.
We see clients with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, relationship issues and stress related issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
All of our counsellors are qualified to at least Diploma level or working towards this, fully insured and members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
They regularly attend supervision sessions with qualified independent supervisors, and participate in on-going continuing professional development.

Other areas of counselling we deal with
Here at Phoenix Health and Wellbeing our counsellors are trained to work with clients who have issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues or issues relating to childhood experiences and problems. We also see an increasing number of people who are struggling with work related stress or anxiety about their roles, bullying in the workplace or fear of redundancy.
All of our counsellors are qualified, fully insured and members of BACP.
All of our sessions last for 50 minutes. The initial session is a chance for you to meet your counsellor and make sure that you feel able to work with them. As we have several counsellors it is not a problem to change professional after this session.
The initial session is £20 which covers our basic costs and gives you a chance to try our service. All subsequent sessions are £40.
If you have chronic mental or physical health issues and are referred by a medical or healthcare professional your session may be subsidised as part of our charitable work.
