About me

At times life can become overwhelming and we just need some space to make sense of it, or it may be that you just don't know what is wrong, but you do know that something is not quite as you would like it to be. It may also be difficult to share some issues with family and friends for fear of being judged or misunderstood.

You could be experiencing anxiety, have relationship issues, feel depressed or struggling after a bereavement. You may be considering counselling for other reasons. Perhaps you are feeling low, panic, lonely, stressed or maybe you are dealing with problems in relationships or at work, or feeling devastated following a diagnosis of a life changing illness, or experienced a traumatic event.

Whatever your reasons I understand it can be daunting to let someone into your world. My aim is to work with you to tackle any difficulties you may have by offering you a space that's yours, where you can explore and express your inner thoughts and feelings in confidence and safety. A space where you can really be how you feel at that time with the knowledge you are being really listened to in a non-judgemental safe environment.

As a qualified, registered Counsellor I offer this safe confidential environment for you to  express your thoughts feeling and ideas.  Where you can feel supported as you explore difficult situations, identify solutions or cope with any change.

My experience is varied. I have worked with the above mentioned issues particularly in the areas of loss and bereavement, especially with diagnosis of life changing/terminal illness, past trauma that could be impacting your life now, as well as stress, anxiety, panic, low self-worth/esteem and depression, understanding these are areas where people often feel alone and isolated, or not always taken seriously as to the depth of their distress or pain.

The type of counselling style in which I work will be tailored to best fit your individual needs and at a pace that you feel most comfortable with. The most important part of the work will only take place once you are feeling heard and understood without being judged.

I work with individuals on a one to one basis either short or long term depending on your needs.

It can be a big step to ask for help, and finding the right therapist is an important part of that process.  Please contact me on 07788 797319 to discuss any questions or queries you may have or to make an initial appointment, you can also e.mail me from the above link.

I am also happy to be contacted by people who have tried therapy in the past and have felt disillusioned by their experience. I also welcome trainee Counsellors who by embarking on your own therapy will be able to self-develop.  This in turn helps you in your learning and practice, to develop yourself as competent Counsellors.

Sessions are £35 for my Waltham Cross practice or £40 per session in Harlow.  Initial session is an hour then any further sessions are 50 minutes.  I offer daytime and evening appointments.
