Lorraine Phillips - Counsellor & Supervisor: Adults, Couples, Young People
4 Princess Street
My counselling practice is based on creating a safe and trusting relationship with my clients so you feel able to explore what is happening in your life, and why you may be looking for support. It can be difficult to make the first step and ask someone for help, and I am always mindful of this. I will work at your pace and with the issues you bring to help you find different ways of coping and dealing with how you are feeling. I offer a non-judgemental, trusting and empathic space - the emphasis on developing a relationship that can facilitate the changes you want in your life.
I am an experienced and qualified counsellor and counselling supervisor . I have more than 10 years experience. I work with adults, young people/children, couples/relationships and groups. I am a registered member of the BACP - working to their ethical framework. I offer a confidential and professional service.
I have experience working with many issues including: relationship issues, anxiety, depression, feelings of panic, stress, bullying, anger and related issues, workplace stress, school issues, low self-esteem, health related issues, bereavement, grief and loss, self injury/harm, family issues, affairs and betrayals, low self-confidence, abuse, transitions in life, suicidal thoughts, financial, hearing voices, gender related issues, and many more.
I'm based in Knutsford in a private setting, easily accessible from East & West Cheshire, Stockport, Trafford, Greater Manchester.
I offer counselling within schools.
Counselling supervision is available for qualified counsellors, counsellors-in-training and on placement, and supervision groups.
Please contact me by email or phone for further information on counselling or supervision services - or a free initial phone consultation.

There are times our lives when events and circumstances can leave us feeling unable to cope as well as we would like to. We can feel overwhelmed and uncertain, or sometimes not sure how we feel. It can be difficult to know what to do, or where to turn for help.
You may be unsure why you feel the way you do, or you may be able to relate it to a specific circumstance. I will offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential place where you can explore these feelings and emotions. We will work together, within a professional relationship, to help you find more effective ways of dealing with your feelings and experiences.
