Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist & CPCAB qualified Supervisor.
I have 15 years of experience of working with clients and colleagues in managing their concerns, issues, relationships, responsibilities and lives. I have undertaken many vocational training courses, which include attachment, bereavement, mental health including neuro development, trauma, abuse and addictions for example.
Knowing how important family life is, I gained an Accredited AFT Foundation Certificate in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. I have worked with over 70 families, helping them to work through their issues and find better ways of communication and co-operation.
I have also specialised in addictions, working with young people, adults and families with varying complex needs, including mental health issues. I have a NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Tackling Substance Misuse and have also undertaken training in gambling counselling.

I have extensive experience of working with people who have wanted support in managing depression, anxiety, addictions, anger management, relationship issues, abuse, including emotional. physical and sexual abuse, assault and rape; as well as self-harm, including cutting and eating disorders.
The most repeated feedback I have received from both young people and adults, including couples and parents that I have supported, is that they find me to be, "Down to earth, understanding and trustworthy, helping them to come to terms with the past as well empower new strategies to manage daily life, enabling self-esteem, relationships and circumstances to improve.
Individual: - 1 hour session
- £25 first consultation

If you choose to take up sessions with freshfocus after your first consultation, then a booking deposit of £20 will be required to secure your appointment. Payable by cash, cheque or bank transfer. This covers any late cancellations or non-attendance.
If more than 24 hours notice is given and the appointment can be re-arranged within the week this deposit will not be affected.
If no such event occurs then this deposit will be deducted from the final payment of your session.

Tailor made to your needs and wants, short term and on-going contracts can be arranged, under-pinned with appropriate theoretical approaches.

The information that you share will be respected and kept confidential within the service.
For any content to be shared outside of freshfocus written permission will be required. This includes young people from the age of 13 years upwards, who have Gillick/Fraser competence (demonstrates a level of maturity in the understanding of confidentiality) and will have to sign a 'sharing information form'for content to be shared.
The only time confidentiality is broken, is when there is a serious concern for your safety or the safety of others. This would be discussed with you first, when ever possible.
