About me

I can offer a safe and confidential space in which you can explore how you are feeling. Thoughts can trigger powerful emotions which can leave us feeling powerless and isolated, and perhaps no longer trusting in ourselves and our abilities.

I have worked as a counsellor for more than 9 years and have been in private practice since 2010. I can help you to overcome challenging and difficult issues including bereavement and loss, anxiety, panic disorder, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

I use a Person-Centred approach, but have also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Gestalt, therefore, the counselling that we embark upon will be tailored to your needs and we will review this together.

I very much look forward to meeting you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector
  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, CPCAB
  • Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents
  • Certificate in Substance Abuse and Drugs Misuse
  • Certificate in Gestalt Therapy
  • Certificate in Counselling Studies, CPCAB

I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am fully committed to working within their ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.

I also work as a Part-Time Lecturer teaching Person-Centred Counselling to students studying up to and including Diploma Level 4, CPCAB.

I have written and run workshops on bereavement and suicide risk and continue to work on a voluntary basis for Cruse Bereavement Care.  Over the years this work has given me experience working with Loss and Trauma.

I feel passionately about counselling and how it can make a real difference to peoples’ lives. I continue to study and attend workshops in order that I can be the best for my clients.
