About me

I currently work as the National Clinical Lead for a company called Intraining managing Counselling and specialist services across the UK. I also offer private practice for individuals, couples or families.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, I am on the accredited register of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As an Integrative Counsellor I take a flexible approach and work with clients as the unique individuals they are. I trust in the organic process of Counselling and I can offer a creative and dynamic integrative practice.

No matter what therapeutic orientation is used for me the foundation is a key ingredient for the relationship to grow and for clients to feel safe to explore deeper parts of themselves. I work in an integrative way to ensure that sessions are tailored to the individual by having the correct and appropriate interventions for each client. Counselling, after all, is recognising that each client is different. Issues brought to therapy may be similar or the same but how clients experience them will be very different. Counselling is taking a walk into the client’s labyrinth of memories, emotions, pain and ultimately fulfilling the need for someone to understand them and just be with them.

I also offer Supervision, for me Supervision is an alliance in which people that work in a helping capacity can gain access to a safe place to explore their caseload. It’s a place to seek out a fresh vision on the work you do and validate that the work you are doing with clients, patients or service users is safe, ethical and professional. Supervision can be a place for which helping professionals can seek refuge to find guidance in what can feel an overwhelming storm which they can’t control. Through supervision, supervisees can gain perspective by working through each case one by one, calming the storm, introducing clarity and giving back the power of control.
