About me

“it’s ok not to be ok.”

Emotion can be overwhelming. You may feel pressure to change or feel unable to be true to yourself.   Sometimes, past experiences can pull you down. You may feel shame or guilt, or feel completely lost and sad, or stuck in a behaviour pattern that you don’t know how to stop. You may want to change your life but simply do not believe you can. You may not know how to. People may tell you that you should be strong and carry on.

How would you feel if I told you that it is ok not to be ok, that your feelings are important and what you want from life matters?

I work with people from all walks of life and I have had the privilege to witness the positive transformation and resilience that people have. You are not alone and I know change is possible.

I am passionate about helping people and this began with a degree in Educational sciences. It gave me in-depth insight of the human condition. I can help you to find and develop your own resilience to overcome the difficult times in your life.

I can help with a variety of issues such as:

Anxiety

Depression

Stress

Low self-confidence/Self-esteem

Trauma

Relationships issues

Loss/Bereavement

Anger

Abuse

Addiction and more

I work with adults, young adults and couples.

My approach

My approach to counselling is integrative which reflects my belief that each person is unique and, given the right conditions, has the potential to grow and move forward in their own way.

I work in a creative way offering a calm, genuine and warm atmosphere. Everything we discuss is confidential.

I practise from a safe and professional space and this is easily reached by public transport. Parking is available also.

Appointments :

If you have any questions or you would like to book an appointment, please get in touch. You can email, text or call and we can have an informal chat about how to move forward. If I am unavailable please leave a message and I will get in touch as soon as I can.

I can offer face to face, online (Zoom, Skype or FaceTime) and telephone appointments.

What’s happen next?

The initial contact will be an opportunity for you to asks me any questions you may have regarding the counselling process and my way of working. I will also have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. You can then decide if you would like to book an initial session. You can come to counselling as much as you want and need. I offer long term and short term sessions.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
