About me
Hi, I'm Liz
Are you stressed, anxious or depressed? You may have family issues or relationship difficulties. Perhaps you have traumatic experiences from your past or present that are holding you back from living more freely.
Whatever your problem; with care, compassion and 14 years of counselling experience, I can offer you a safe, confidential place for you to talk freely and honestly.
My Counselling
I understand the courage it can take to make the decision to start counselling. I know, I've been there.
My clients say that I am warm and empathetic. I work holistically and always with respect. You will never be judged. You will be supported safely through your counselling journey.
I offer the opportunity for your feelings and thoughts to be truly listened to, and for them to be acknowledged and understood. You will be helped to gain a greater clarity of what is happening in your life, and this will help you find the direction or make the choices that you want in order to move forward.
You may be taught new skills to better manage your life, such as using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). You will be well supported, taking a step at a time. This can bring a restored sense of empowerment to grow and thrive into a life with inner peace.
I never cease to be amazed by the transformation and increased confidence and wellbeing that I see in my clients, as they take control of their lives and make the changes they want.
I offer short term or long term counselling and no problem is too small.
Confidentiality is of the highest standard.
Introductory appointment
I offer this free 20 minute appointment to give you the opportunity to first meet me and to see if you'll feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. We can chat about what you're looking for from counselling and I can tell you about how I work.
Location
I am located in Monmouth, in a quiet, comfortable, private room, with parking.
Having lived in Guernsey for 14 years and now off island, I can provide online counselling for Guernsey people as well as other non UK people, with the reassuring privacy that our everyday lives won't overlap.
You will find more information on my website www.monmouthcounselling.com
If you have any queries or to book an appointment, please do get in touch. I look forward to getting to know you.

The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
