About me

With 30 years experience, I offer counselling for individuals or couples with a wide variety of challenges.  When relationships fracture, and separation or divorce become options, I can work with other collaborative law practitioners to achieve the best result for all concerned, without resorting to confrontation and divisive court proceedings - the watchword being 'fight the problems not each other'.  I also work with family members/work colleagues etc who have communication problems.  I work with anxiety, depression and how to deal with anger, however you may be experiencing it. Also I support those with self-confidence issues and those who lack assertiveness, particularly in the work environment.
My work has included many other issues, working with all adult ages, and with clients of many different nationalities & backgrounds, with different experiences and challenges from life.
Please see website www.cotswoldtalkingtherapies.co.uk for more details & FAQ's.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a memeber of UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners, I am a Higher Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (what a mouthful!), and I am registered with the Professional Standards Authority.

This reflects years of training and continuing professional development, and the 30 years of experience, always backed up by clinical supervision, membership of professional organisations and appropriate professional insurance.
This accreditation is reviewed with extensive paperwork every 5 years and includes an experiential afternoon, in London, with peers and two members of the membership committee of UKAHPP.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Collaborative law, working with individuals and couples to achieve agreement about separation and divorce without resorting to the courts.  ('Fight the problems and not each other').  I have done some training with other professionals to achieve this e.g. lawyers, independent financial advisors, mediators and child specialists.

When adults within families encounter difficulties between them, I work with parents and their adult child. or with adult siblings.
