About me
I am a qualified and licensed Psychodynamic Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As a Psychodynamic counsellor, I work with clients to overcome issues in the here and now, as well as exploring the impact of childhood and past experiences on current behaviours. I help my clients to understand why they are the way they are, as well as providing them with the tools and support to heal and move forward – working towards self-acceptance and the realisation of their unique and valued place in this world.
My experience and training allow me to tailor my approach to the needs of my clients as individuals using a combination of intense psychodynamic therapy, as well as incorporating other modalities which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Based Therapy. In short, I am dedicated to incorporating the most up to date, and effective approaches available today.
My personal experience has taught me that sadly few of us will escape the pain and challenges that life throws at us, as well as the feeling that life can sometimes feel unmanageable. It has also taught me that we don’t have to go it alone.
Counselling is a resource that helped me through some very difficult times and continues to help countless others facing anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, sexual intimacy and relationship issues - to name but a few. It is a relationship like no other, that is based on care and empathy – a support system that I am so pleased to be able to offer to my clients.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I am a full-time counsellor, available for online, face to face, telephone, and walk and talk sessions.
I offer a free 15minute introductory session (either by telephone or on Zoom), so that we can connect and talk in person. It gives us the opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, and how I can support you - as well as giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
