About us
The Good Therapy Centre provides high-quality psychotherapy and counselling for adults aged 18 and over, delivered by experienced, fully qualified and registered therapists.
We offer support across a range of areas, including specialist services in:
- Eating Disorders
- Gay Men's Psychotherapy
- Anxiety and Depression
We also work with relationship and intimacy issues, identity and self-esteem, shame, life transitions, and specialist support for gay men and LGBTQ+ clients. We also work with people experiencing stress, burnout, or feeling stuck in repeating patterns that are difficult to shift alone.
All therapy begins with an initial assessment, which should be booked via our website, allowing us to understand your needs and carefully match you with a therapist whose experience and approach feels right for you. Sessions then take place weekly and last 50 minutes, either in person at our London rooms in Elephant and Castle, or online across the UK.
Our therapists are professionally registered and work within clear ethical and clinical boundaries, placing strong emphasis on confidentiality, safeguarding, and the quality of the therapeutic relationship. We aim to provide a calm, respectful space where meaningful psychological work can take place.
The Good Therapy Centre is committed to offering a reliable, inclusive, and thoughtful service, supporting people to better understand themselves and navigate life with greater clarity and resilience.
The Good Therapy Centre is a service run and operated by The Good Mental Health Company.
Training, qualifications & experience
Therapists at The Good Therapy Centre are fully qualified, professionally registered, and experienced in providing psychotherapy and counselling to adults.
All therapists have completed recognised postgraduate training in psychotherapy or counselling and are registered with an appropriate UK professional body, such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They work in line with professional ethical frameworks and uphold high standards of clinical practice.
Our therapists have experience supporting people with anxiety and depression, eating difficulties, relationship and intimacy issues, identity and self-esteem, shame, life transitions, and work with gay men and LGBTQ+ clients. Many therapists also have additional specialist training relevant to their areas of practice.
All therapists engage in ongoing professional development and receive regular clinical supervision to ensure their work remains reflective, ethical, and safe. Safeguarding, confidentiality, and clear professional boundaries are central to how our service operates.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
