About me

You may feel anxious, emotionally reactive, or stuck in patterns that no longer make sense. Perhaps you are in recovery but finding new challenges emerging. You may have had a health scare, diagnosis, hospital experience or significant life event has left you feeling unsettled in ways you didn’t expect.

I am a BACP-accredited integrative psychotherapist specialising in addiction recovery and trauma-informed therapy. I work with individuals navigating addiction, anxiety, low mood, relational difficulties and the psychological impact of medical events — including hospitalisation, sudden diagnoses and chronic illness. I integrate EMDR where appropriate within a grounded, trauma-informed framework.

Experiences such as addiction, sudden illness, medical treatment or relationship breakdown can disrupt a person’s sense of safety and stability. Even after the event has passed, the body and mind may remain on high alert. My approach is collaborative and paced according to your needs, helping you understand these responses, process unresolved experiences and develop a steadier sense of control.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed understanding of how overwhelming experiences shape patterns of coping, relationships and emotional regulation.

Alongside individual therapy, I offer structured work with couples through From Conflict to Connection: A Structured Couples Programme, a 6–8 session relationship programme. This approach integrates attachment-informed principles alongside Emotionally Focused Therapy models to help partners improve communication, understand relational patterns and strengthen emotional connection. The programme focuses on skills-based relational development rather than specialist intensive couples therapy.

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation via telephone or Zoom. This is an opportunity for you to talk a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions about how I work, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist. I hold a Master's in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University London. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and a member of the Society for Existential Analysis.

I have previously worked across several counselling services across London and Belfast, and currently work in outpatient services for a large addiction treatment facility based in the UK, alongside maintaining my private practice.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
