Welcome to Serendipity. We are very proud of our fantastic team at Serendipity Psychology who are here to take the overwhelm out of the search for the right help and to offer psychological support tailored to your unique needs. We work across the lifespan with children, adults and older adults offering therapy and specialist psychological assessment. We also work with individuals, families and parents.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, parenting difficulties or any mental health or well-being concern, our team of experienced and professionally regulated professionals are equipped to guide you towards recovery, healing and growth.
We are a highly qualified team of specialist therapists working in person across Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. We are also able to support you online across any area of the UK (and even overseas).
Discover How We Can Make a Difference:
At Serendipity, we understand that no two individuals are the same and that's why we take a uniquely personalised approach to your care. Our team of experienced psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors, are trained in a wide variety of evidence-based treatments that have been recommended by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as the most successful approaches. Some of these therapies include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma therapies (such as EMDR), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema therapy and mindfulness (for a more exhaustive list, please see below). We work with you to integrate these modalities to create a treatment plan that's unique to you.
Perhaps differently from other independent practitioners, we are proud that we also work as a team. This is a huge benefit to you in many ways. It means the person working with you has access to the support and expertise of many other specialists in their respective fields. They also have constant access to internal continuing professional development and training. Best of all, we can build a pathway of care around you to ensure you always have support if you need it. Together, we'll work towards building resilience, fostering self-awareness, and empowering you to overcome life's obstacles.
Let me introduce you to our professional team who would love to support you:
Fiona Grainger Trauma informed EMDR Psychotherapist working with young people and adults (12+)
Fiona is a Trauma-Informed EMDR Psychotherapist who works with both young people and adults. Fiona has seven years of experience, including working in a school and various charity settings.
Fiona specialises in trauma, PTSD, addiction, OCD, anxiety, anger, behavioural change, depression, panic attacks, and relationship issues. If a healthcare professional has given you a diagnosis, or if you have tried to diagnose yourself and are left with unanswered questions, Fiona will understand how you feel as she has been there herself. This means that she knows there is always hope for things to improve. If you want to make changes in your life, Fiona can help you and show you how. This can give you a new outlook—greater self-awareness and the ability to manage your emotions and life in a happier, healthier way.
Fiona's approach includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps you understand how your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours are connected. By changing one, we can influence the others. Fiona also use Narrative Exposure Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), which helps process and recover from past trauma or phobias. This enables you to see things from a different perspective and relieves the symptoms and distress you may be experiencing.
