About Me
I am a qualified counsellor with extensive experience helping young people and adults navigate a wide range of life’s challenges. Here’s a closer look at my background and approach:
Therapeutic Approach: I utilise a person-centred foundation, incorporating elements of gestalt therapy, transactional analysis CBT and psychodynamic approaches to create a personalised experience for each client.
Experience: I have a wealth of experience supporting individuals from all walks of life. I draw on my work with people from diverse backgrounds and my own personal experiences to develop a deep understanding of the challenges my clients face. This allows me to provide a unique and empathetic perspective, regardless of your situation.
Empathy and Acceptance: By drawing on my own life experiences, I foster a space of understanding and acceptance. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship where my clients feel safe to be themselves and explore their vulnerabilities.
Extensive Experience, Tailored Support: I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, both locally and nationally.
I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. I have worked locally with many clients and recently completed work and training within the area of grief counselling to those facing pre- and post-bereavement, and nationally, I have worked with survivors of trauma and sexual abuse, both within families and from external circumstances. Some of these adults have also experienced domestic violence.
I have helped many clients overcome issues no matter how large or small the challenge may seem. Additionally, through my current role, my experience extends to supporting veterinary professionals. I have trained with the Blue Cross, offering guidance to those who have lost beloved pets. My work within the veterinary industry provides me with firsthand insight into the unique pressures faced by veterinary staff, including burnout, new graduate stress, and the challenges experienced by seasoned professionals.
I have a passion for helping clients with chronic health conditions especially those with diabetes and a strong interest in eating disorders.
Through my own life experiences, I have developed a deep well of empathy and understanding. This allows me to provide non-judgemental care and support to clients facing challenges in their life including self-image, relationships, disordered eating and well-being.
I create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their vulnerabilities freely, free from shame or guilt.
My Philosophy
I believe that healing and hope are possible for everyone, regardless of background or experience.
I work inclusively, recognising and accepting each client as an individual; their own expert with unique needs and perspectives. I believe that by truly listening to my clients and supporting them I can offer understanding and acceptance, empowering my clients to flourish; to become the people they want to be and choose the life they want to live.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
