About me

You may understand your difficulties intellectually yet still find yourself repeating the same emotional or relationship patterns. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, responsible for other people’s feelings, or unsure why certain situations affect you so strongly.

I offer warm, relational and integrative counselling for adults and couples. My work is particularly suited to people exploring ADHD, autism or PDA, as well as those experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, attachment wounds, relationship difficulties, low self-worth or a loss of connection with themselves.

Together, we look beneath the immediate difficulty to understand the patterns connecting your emotions, relationships, body responses, past experiences, and present circumstances. I will not give you a formula to follow or expect you to fit a fixed model. Therapy develops through genuine conversation, careful attention and a growing understanding of what your responses mean within the context of your life.

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful and direct. I aim to create a relationship in which you feel understood clearly enough to explore difficult experiences without judgement, pressure or the need to present a more acceptable version of yourself.

Sessions are available online through Zoom, with in-person appointments in Bristol available by arrangement.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified relational and integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), membership number 72493.

I completed my core counselling training at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where I earned my professional diploma.

My work draws upon relational, person-centred, psychodynamic and trauma-informed perspectives. I have particular experience of working with neurodivergent adults, including people with diagnosed or suspected ADHD, autism and PDA profiles. I also work with emotional overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, attachment and developmental wounds, relationship patterns, family difficulties, masking, rejection sensitivity, loss of identity and low self-worth.

I continue to develop my practice through professional learning, reflective work and regular clinical supervision, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Finding the right therapist is an important part of beginning therapy. You are welcome to contact me before booking if you would like to ask a question or briefly discuss whether my approach feels suitable for you.

I work with adults (16+) and couples, and offer 60-minute sessions, primarily online through Zoom. In-person sessions in Bristol may be available by arrangement.

I welcome neurodivergent clients, including those who self-identify, are awaiting assessment, or are unsure whether a diagnostic description fits their experience. You do not need a formal diagnosis to explore how attention, sensory experience, masking, demand sensitivity, or executive functioning affect your life and relationships.

My counselling practice is LGBTQIA+ inclusive and aims to respect each person’s identity, relationships, culture and way of experiencing the world.
