About me
Are you looking for a safe, creative space to explore what might be troubling you, causing you pain, or blocking you from moving forward in your life?
As a creative therapist, I provide a safe and permissive space where you can express and understand yourself and your relationships in new and helpful ways.
I hold the present and future as important as our past experiences and offer dynamic, forward looking, collaborative and creative therapy for individuals wanting more from life.
I have many years of experience providing individual and group therapy and supervision in NHS mental health services, charities, and my private practice. I support people dealing with both serious and enduring mental health conditions, as well as those looking to explore what therapy can offer them. My work is trauma-informed and evidence-based, meaning I prioritise your unique experiences while adopting proven therapeutic approaches.
Finding the right therapist is essential for successful therapy. That’s why I start all my work with an initial non-committal meeting. This allows us to determine whether I am the right therapist for you. I offer both short- and long-term therapy options, available online or face-to-face from my studio near Bishops Stortford.
I am an HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and a BCP MBT Therapist (Mentalization-Based Therapy).
If you’re ready to take the first step towards understanding yourself better and exploring your path forward, please reach out to schedule your initial meeting. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I have a special interest in neurodiversity and its impact on mental health. I am experienced in working with trauma and personality disorders, and I adopt a "what has happened to me" approach rather than asking what's "wrong" with me. My goal is to understand the various factors that may be influencing a person's experiences and to help individuals untangle these complex intersections.

Further information
I have been helping adults, teens, and families in crisis for many years, driven by a passion for therapy and its benefits. My practice is current and informed by the latest research, particularly regarding trauma and its connection to the body.
In my practice, I often employ a mentalization-based approach, which is particularly beneficial for individuals who have experienced relational trauma. This method helps us make sense of our thoughts, beliefs, wishes, and feelings, linking them to our actions and behaviours. It offers a 'bottom-up' strategy for emotion regulation, enhancing our ability to manage anxiety and depression while improving our relationships.
