About me

Hello and Welcome to my profile. My name is Pauline Pachucki and I am a qualified person-centered counsellor offering a low cost one to one professional counselling service in and around the Essex Borough of Thurrock. Although I am qualified as a person-centered counsellor, I also work  with an integrative approach.This means that I use different approaches to suit individual client needs as every client is different. I work with people from different cultures and backgrounds with respect for individual personal choices and values.

I offer an environment which is confidential, warm, welcoming, non-judgmental and accepting.  A space in which you can feel free and safe to talk about your worries, fears, anything that you may be struggling with at your own pace. You will be listened to in a way that will enable you get a better understanding of yourself and your concerns. I am here to walk beside you on your journey.

Counselling can help to empower you and feel more in control. It enables you to feel better equipped to face life's difficult challenges. Counselling encourages you to make changes that enable you to move forward and live your life fully and positively.

I specialise in bereavement and depression. I also work with teenagers dealing with concerns around school, exams, relationships and anxiety. Other areas I specialise in include cross-cultural relationships and cultural identity.

I work on a short and long term basis depending on individual needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a diploma in therapeutic counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics and standards. I have worked as a volunteer bereavement counsellor for a bereavement service in in the London Borough of Brent gaining extensive experience in bereavement field. I currently work for InLondon counselling, offering generic counselling services.

My other academic qualifications include:

  • Level 2 in counselling skills (QFC), CPCAB.
  • Level 3 in counselling studies QFC, CPCAB

Other Training including CPD:

  • Training in mental health crisis. Mind in Brent.
  • Training in supporting bereaved clients, both adults, children and young people.
  • Understanding Anxiety, Depression and CBT.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

I offer confidential, safe and affordable one to one counselling sessions which last 50 minutes per session. Sessions take place on an agreed day and time on a weekly basis.

Fees are £45 per session.
I also have concessions for students and those on a low income or unwaged as I believe that counselling should be available and accessible to everyone. Please do contact me for further details.

Mondays: 9am - 2:00pm, Tuesdays: 9am - 4pm, Wednesdays:9am -4pm Thursdays: 9am-4pm, Fridays: 9am -2pm

Further information

My practice is located over two locations within the Hendon area. My therapy rooms are both easily accessible. Located near Middlesex University in Hendon which is a short walk from Hendon Central station on the Northern Line. Other close Stations include Golders Green and Brent Cross. Buses 143, 326,183, 240, 83, 113 and 186 all stop within a short walk to my therapy rooms.
