About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist working with people from a variety of backgrounds who are navigating life's twists and turns. Whether you're experiencing something traumatic, going through a big change, feeling lost and confused or struggling with something that's hard to put into words - my aim is that you can gain a newfound clarity, and, where it's needed, some real relief.

I have experience working with many different themes which I have listed below, Beyond this, I have a particular interest in supporting men navigating infertility issues. This is an area I have researched extensively, including time spent in one of the UK’s leading male infertility centres. Existential therapy is particularly suited to this work as infertility raises real questions around identity, masculinity, control, shame, purpose and grief that often go unspoken.

What underlines my work is an interest in the bigger questions that often sit underneath: Who am I? What gives my life meaning? How do I want to live? From experience, these aren't abstract questions and uncertainty around them is often what drives anxiety, ‘stuckness’ and feelings of pain.

Therapy can feel daunting at times, yet it has the power to be uplifting and transformative. Our sessions can be serious but also playful, creative and humorous - making space for lightness as well as depth. It's also a place for challenge: I'll encourage you to be as open and honest as possible, whilst I aim to be the same.

More important than any theory, I believe in the power of relationship. The bond formed between therapist and client is the foundation from which you can get what you need. Together, we can reflect on your life - what's happened, what's happening and what's next. Hopefully, this can give you a renewed sense of clarity around your life allowing you to move forwards in the best way possible.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
