About me
Welcome, I'm Noreen, I am a registered BACP therapist, specialising in Person-Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Are you contemplating change? Exhausted with dealing with life’s conflicts and struggles? Together we can create a collaborative healing relationship, where there is no power structure, I'll be with you where you are. I work in an integrative way where we can look at how your past experiences may be affecting your life and relationships in the present.
My approach is one of empathy, compassion and emotional support. I will listen to and supporting you, in order to fully understand where you are in life. With me you will be able to discuss sensitive issues freely, you can be open about what is troubling you, without judgment. I can provide that space for you.
It's very important to me that you feel heard, understood, and accepted unconditionally. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to book an introductory phone call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a trained and experienced BACP Integrative Counsellor. As an integrative counsellor I use a flexible approach which depends on your unique needs and what has brought you to counselling.
If it becomes necessary we can explore your childhood development and the relationships and experiences that you had back then. These experiences may have resulted in you developing low self-esteem and patterns of behaviour that may be playing out in your adult relationships and impacting your life now.
I specialise in Person-Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. I practice interculturally, always taking into account and being respectful of different cultural experiences and backgrounds.
I have experience of working with issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and parent and child discord. I also have non-clinical experience of working at the Maudsley Hospital, focussing on victims of domestic violence and the impact this has on themselves and their families.
Qualifications: CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Trauma Informed Counselling CPD.
BA Honours Degree (2.1) De Montfort University
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
