About me

Dr Niloufar Mersadi is a Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, life transitions, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and questions of meaning, purpose, and fulfilment.

Working in private practice, Niloufar offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and create lasting change. She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual's needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR, as well as other trauma-informed and somatic-based interventions, EFT (tapping), Rebirthing Breathwork, Transpersonal Approaches, Art Therapy and Ecotherapy.

Alongside her work as a Counselling Psychologist, Niloufar is also a Life Purpose Coach. She supports clients in gaining clarity, overcoming self-doubt, navigating life and career transitions, and creating lives that feel deeply aligned with their values, strengths, and authentic selves.

Niloufar believes that healing occurs within the context of a trusting therapeutic relationship. Her approach integrates psychological expertise with a deep appreciation for the human capacity for growth, helping clients cultivate resilience, self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, psychological flexibility, and a stronger sense of purpose.

She has a particular interest in supporting individuals through periods of profound personal transformation, including the integration and embodiment of life-changing experiences arising from grief, serious illness, spiritual awakening, intensive meditation practices, and other non-ordinary states of consciousness, including plant medicine experiences. Her work in this area focuses on helping clients make sense of these experiences and translate insights into meaningful, grounded changes in everyday life.
