About me
I help Individuals and couples to move through past experiences, manage conflict and anxieties and work towards more satisfying relationships. I believe everyone is individual and therefore a tailored approach to your experience in therapy is vital.
I have extensive experience working with individuals and couples to understand themselves and eachother, especially when they feel they don't quite fit into the box that they were put in early in life because of difference, trauma or life struggles.
I support people to explore and understand the influence of past experiences so we can then work together to be more authentic and connected in life.
I've worked successfully with clients to help with:
- Understanding and addressing cycles of disconnection in relationships
- Managing intrusive thoughts or symptoms of anxiety (GAD, OCD, Health Anxiety etc)
- Managing intense emotions (eg anger, sadness, jealousy)
- Moving through trauma
- Unhelpful attachment patterns
- Stress and burnout
- Grief, loss and life changes
- Intimacy and communication issues in relationships
- Self esteem or body issues
I work with and integrate traditional psychotherapy exploration methods, skills from DBT and EFT techniques to offer support tailored to how you process and where you need support.

Relationship Therapy.
I help couples work through blocks and unhelpful patterns of relating to move towards a more satisfying relationship with each other. This could be by working together to develop a different language between you so can speak (and hear) more clearly, by helping to navigate through past experiences and traumas in the relationship (betrayals or conflict), or supporting you both to address unhelpful behavioural or relational patterns.
My approach with couples is non-judgemental, sex-positive and neuroaffirming. I believe everybody is deserving of lasting, respectful and loving connections.
What will our first sessions look like?
Our initial sessions will be focused on exploring your situation and assessing together if therapy is suitable to help you achieve your goals, collaborating on a plan together, as well as exploring your understanding of your current relationships and aspects of your past that may be present within this (conflict cycles and attachment styles for example).
How can we meet?
I have availability for in person sessions in Basingstoke and central Reading. I also offer remote sessions throughout the week.
If you think I might be of help please reach out for a free no-obligation 30 minute consultation to all new clients to be sure I am the right therapist for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Because one model of therapy isn't right for everyone, I blend elements of narrative, systemic and relational frameworks to work with you and find new perspectives and tools. These range from Psychodynamic and attachment-based exploration to more practical support, such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I am committed to further development after my initial training and keeping up to date with the latest research and information. This includes comprehensive training to work with trauma and attachment.
Alongside this, I have extensive experience supporting people with grief and loss as a qualified Bereavement Counsellor and experience with local charities to support people with mild to moderate mental health issues in the community, both individuals and in groups.
My previous career was based within HR Operations and Leadership roles in retail/hospitality sector.
Relationship Therapy.
I have completed further post-qualification training based in the Tavistock Method of Relationship Therapy. Rooted in attachment at psychodynamic principles, it aims to treat the relationship as the client and help the individuals within it to bridge the gap of understanding between their different identities, drawing on relational blueprints, unconscious beliefs and perpetual patterns that may stem from deeper psychological needs.
Although aimed at 2 people in an intimate "Couple" relationship, i am also able to support any type of relationship which involves 2 people living, working or collaborating with each other to help uncover patterns of relating and strengthen relationships.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
