About me
About The Loss Lounge with Nicola
The Loss Lounge with Nicola offers a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space for adults navigating grief, loss, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and life's most difficult transitions.
I created The Loss Lounge because I understand that loss can take many forms. You may be grieving the death of a loved one or cherished pet, coping with the impact of domestic or sexual abuse, experiencing relationship breakdown, adjusting to menopause, or trying to make sense of a significant life change. Whatever brings you here, you do not have to face it alone.
I provide a calm and supportive environment where you can talk openly, feel heard, and explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, which means I recognise the impact that trauma can have on emotional wellbeing, relationships, and everyday life. Building safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment is at the heart of our work together.
I understand that sharing painful experiences can feel vulnerable, particularly if trust has been broken in the past. You remain in control of what you choose to share, when you share it, and how we work together. Where appropriate, I can also integrate creative and other therapeutic approaches to support your healing journey.
At The Loss Lounge, I believe that healing is not about being rushed, fixed, or judged. It is about being met with compassion, understanding, and respect while reconnecting with your own strength and resilience.
