About me

You may be here for a variety of reasons: perhaps you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, lonely, experience challenges in your relationships or struggle with recurring, anxious thoughts. My aim is to welcome you with genuine care and understanding, so you can catch your breath, step back, regain some clarity and begin to see things from a different perspective.

I can help you to understand yourself and your needs better, and support you in navigating your current situation so you can experience more satisfaction, meaning, joy and a sense of autonomy in different areas of your life.

I am a trauma-informed, psychotherapeutic counsellor and support individual adults with a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, grief and bereavement, life transitions, low self-esteem, mood swings, anger management, addictive patterns, work issues and stress, family and relationships challenges. I meet each person with authentic care and tailor my approach as appropriate.

I have particular interest in and experience of working with neurodiversity (e.g. ADHD, AuDHD, autism, dyslexia). My approach is neuro-affirming and strenghts-focused whilst I also understand unique challenges that neurodivergent individuals may face, e.g. seeking diagnosis, medication, unmasking, sensory processing issues, rejection sensitivity, shame, acceptance and identity, difficulty in social situations or at work.

I also offer couples and relationship therapy, helping people to create more fulfilling and trusting relationships. By holding a supportive and semi-structured space I help people in relationships to find each other again and renew their connection with greater compassion, curiosity and honesty.

Individual therapy

Exploring challenges, concerns, emotions and hopes in an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding allows us to integrate various aspects of ourselves and create a more positive narrative about who we are and what we would like to experience in our lives.

The therapeutic process often involves detangling oneself from unhelpful patterns and past experiences. I help individuals to get to the roots of their problems and gently explore any traumatic or difficult experiences in a safe and nurturing space.

Sometimes I may encourage you to get more in touch with and express your feelings, or I can help you to learn to manage strong emotions in order to find inner balance and peace. The aim is to live more fully, authentically and skillfully; to feel more empowered and inspired to engage with life in novel ways which reduces the overall sense of psychological suffering.

My approach

My way of working is humanistic integrative and relational, which means that I put emphasis on the quality of the therapeutic relationship as a potent vehicle for transformation in itself, whilst drawing on different psychotherapeutic perspectives, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, person-centered, psychodynamic, attachment and Jungian theories.

I work collaboratively with my clients meaning I don't force my agenda or insights. Instead, I help individuals to look at things from different angles, reflect deeply and connect the dots in a way that resonate and feel true to them, getting more in touch with their own inner knowing.

Who I work with

Each therapeutic journey is unique and I continue to be in awe of the diversity of human experience. It's important to me that my clients feel understood and accepted, and in my practice I welcome people from all backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals and those in alternative relationship structures e.g. polyamory.

I am sensitive to the issues of belonging and otherness, and the ways in which socio-economic structures and cultural context shape our lives. In my approach I aim to be inclusive, respectful and compassionately curious.

I'm interested in women's issues and gender roles, neurodiversity, self-esteem and confidence, body-image, chronic illness, fatigue and psychosomatic health problems, work related issues and stress, burn out, relationships, intimacy, existential anxiety and spirituality.

I often help my clients to restore a sense of self-worth, to find more meaning and direction in life and fulfilment in their relationships.

I can also support with integration of psychedelic experiences and expanded states of consciousness. Please see my website for more details.

Couples and relationships therapy

I also offer couples and relationship therapy, helping people to establish more trust, intimacy and a sense of connectedness. This usually involves improving communication and co-regulation skills, gaining insights into patterns of relating and learning how to turn differences and conflict into opportunities for growth and greater understanding. I help people to relate to each other more authentically and in accordance with their values, needs and desires, whilst upholding a sense of respect and mutual appreciation.

My practice is affirming of GSRD (Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity) and I draw on various evidence-based relationship therapy models including Imago therapy, Gottman Institute Method and Developmental Model of Couples Therapy.

Sessions & Availability

I offer in-person sessions in a peaceful and relaxed therapy studio located in the heart of Putney, South West London. It is located just a few minutes away from Putney Rail Station, East Putney Station (District line) and many buses. I also offer online therapy or a blend of in-person and online sessions.

Daytime and evening slots are usually available. Feel free to get in touch and I will be very happy to assist you further and answer any questions you may have. When reaching out, please mention your availability and whether you're looking for online or in-person therapy. All enquiries are treated with confidentiality.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working as a counsellor in the NHS, private and charity organisations as well as private practice where I’ve supported clients facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, grief and bereavement, chronic illness and disability, OCD, eco-anxiety and existential dread, sleep issues, addiction, disordered eating, complex and transgenerational trauma and PTSD.

My previous experience also includes working as a Learning & Development Manager in business, supporting individuals and teams in their personal and professional growth. This background enriches my therapeutic work as I can help individuals to establish meaningful direction in life and create positive change. I also understand challenges related to working in corporate environments.

I also have background in arts, design, embodiment and conscious dance, and bring a toolkit of creative and body-based practices to support emotional exploration and to deepen the therapeutic process.

I trained at Metanoia Institute and CPPD Counselling School in London and hold Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. I also completed training in working with relationships at The Grove, gaining a Certificate in Couples and Relationship Therapy accredited by COSRT at Level 5.

I am a registered member of the BACP, working in line with their Ethical Framework. I'm fully insured and hold enhanced DBS check.

I’m also truly passionate about my own personal and professional development, regularly engaging in further learning to enhance my practice. Currently I am training in therapeutic groupwork at North London Group Therapy.

I am also a member of Institute of Psychedelic Therapy (IPT), and a student on a 2-years Depth Relational Process training in psychedelic-assisted therapy.

I speak both English and Polish fluently, and offer therapy in either language.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Psychedelic integration

I understand the risks and opportunities that are linked to the expanded states of consciousness. I can support individuals with previous psychedelic and other non-ordinary experiences (e.g. following a meditation retreat or a holotropic breathwork session) to make sense of and integrate these states into one's life. (Disclaimer: Please note the use of psychedelic substances is currently illegal in the UK. I offer preparation and integration support only for harm reduction purposes. I do not encourage the use of illicit substances in unregulated and illegal frameworks).
