About me
Do you feel like you’re never good enough, no matter how hard you try to please everyone around you? Are you having thoughts that you can’t control, but feel ashamed that you can’t just ‘get on with it’? Maybe you feel trapped, as though you’re living someone else’s life.
I am here for you. My role is to be alongside you to find a way through difficult experiences and towards a place where you can trust yourself, accept who you are and feel more in control of your life. I have witnessed the transformation of working with clients who find their 'gut feeling' and can live a life that feels like their own.
For over 10 years, I have worked in the third sector with individuals navigating difficult life circumstances. Much of my experience has been supporting people who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse (including adult and childhood sexual abuse), domestic violence, loss and bereavement, as well as related experiences such as anxiety and depression.
I am a person-centred therapist and aim to offer a gentle, confidential and safe-enough space where you can explore what is happening for you and, in time, find meaningful shifts and changes in your life. I work within an anti-oppressive framework and endeavour to create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
I know that deciding to come to counselling can be difficult, and it can also be hard to know what to expect. You will always be at the centre of the work we do together. I offer a free 15-minute chat, either online, by phone or in person, so that we can get to know each other a little and you can ask any questions you may have.
Even if you feel I have not listed what you are currently experiencing, please feel free to get in touch. We can talk about what is happening for you and whether I may be able to support you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
