About me
Taking the first step towards counselling can often feel like the hardest, and finding the right therapist who feels right for you is not always easy.
I offer a free, no-obligation 15 minute chat which gives you the chance to get a sense of whether working together is the right fit. You're welcome to message me on 07355719934 or email and I will aim to respond within 48 hours to arrange an informal phone call.
We can work together in various ways depending what feels most comfortable for you. If like me, you enjoy being outdoors and connecting with nature, walk-and-talk therapy may be a supportive option. A comfortable and welcoming room for face-to-face therapy is available in two locations. Online or phone sessions can offer greater flexibility, or we can use a combination of these approaches.
I work with adults and young people age 16+.who are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm and depressive symptoms. I offer a non-judgmental and confidential space to explore whats going on for you at your own pace, helping you to navigate grief and loss or the impact of childhood trauma on your relationships and daily life.
My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing on well researched modalities, such as CBT, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Attachment theory. I tailor therapy creatively to suit each individual, recognising each person's experience, needs and story are unique.
My hope is to offer a space to heal, and the freedom to thrive.

I am the founder of Freedom Counselling Service, where we collaborate with schools to provide therapeutic support to parents, carers and educators, recognising that caring for others starts with supporting the nervous system and preventing burn out.
I have experience supporting young mothers with their babies, including working alongside families involved with social services.
I walk alongside individuals processing religious trauma, providing a safe and supportive space to help them reclaim autonomy within their spiritual journey.
Space to heal, Freedom to thrive
My training has included a strong foundation in nervous system functioning, alongside ongoing professional development and continued research in neuroscience as this field continues to evolve. This includes understanding the impact of trauma on neurobiology, and how trauma can affect the autonomic nervous system, shaping emotional responses, thought patterns, and behaviour.
I have an interest in the ways trauma can influence brain-body processes, including hyperarousal, hypoarousal, and difficulties with emotional regulation and relational safety. Ongoing learning in this area continues to inform my understanding of how earlier experiences can affect present-day coping strategies, relationships, and sense of self.
My approach has also been informed by creative and experiential training, including Gestalt-informed creative interventions. This may involve the use of art materials, imagery, and objects to help access emotions, deepen awareness, and explore less conscious or hidden aspects of the self, engaging the creative and non-verbal parts of the brain where appropriate.
Alongside this, my professional development includes knowledge of mental health presentations referenced in the DSM-5 and ICD-11, supported by ongoing learning and professional interest in this area. While I do not diagnose, this understanding supports a broader awareness of psychological distress and the impact mental health difficulties can have on daily functioning, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
I am a member of the BACP and ACC and work in accordance with their ethical frameworks, which support safe, respectful, and professional practice. I am also committed to working in line with GDPR requirements, ensuring that personal information is handled with care, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
