About me

I offer face to face sessions in my dedicated therapy room in Central Milton Keynes.

The cornerstone of maximising the benefits of your therapy lies in the rapport between client and counsellor. That's why I provide a complimentary, 30-minute telephone consultation, without any commitment, allowing you to ascertain if I am the suitable counsellor for you.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I employ various therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs. Operating in a person-centred manner consistently, I prioritise progressing at your pace throughout our sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

In my practice, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique experiences and challenges. My professional journey includes serving as a dedicated member of Victim Support, where I provided support to families impacted by homicide, offering a compassionate presence during their darkest moments.

Additionally, I've served as a Service and Assessment Coordinator and Counsellor at the Sexual Assault and Abuse Support Service (SAASS), where I worked closely with both male and female survivors of abuse, offering a safe space for healing and empowerment. My commitment to supporting individuals in their journey towards healing has also led me to provide counselling services in various settings, including GP surgeries and MIND.

Furthermore, I've had the privilege of working as a counsellor within a secondary school environment, offering support to students aged 11-18 as they navigate the complexities of adolescence and mental health. Additionally, my role as a Young Person Support Worker at a hospice allowed me to provide vital support to children and young people aged 6-21 who were facing the profound challenges of having a parent or loved one dealing with end-of-life care or coping with the loss of a loved one.

Through these diverse experiences, I've honed my skills in providing compassionate and effective support to individuals from all walks of life, empowering them to navigate their challenges and find hope and healing along the way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
