About me

I hope my profile helps you get a sense of who I am and how we might work together.

Throughout my career, I have worked privately, with the NHS, through medical insurance groups, and within EAPs in various organisations. I support individuals and couples navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence, trauma, abuse, stress, health issues, phobias, OCD, identity, personality disorders, and periods of significant change. My specialist areas include couples counselling, life coaching, communication, bereavement and loss, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, menopause, and early-years experience.

I provide a confidential space where you can feel heard, explore what matters to you, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. Drawing on well-established therapeutic approaches, skills and experience, I adapt my way of working to your needs, goals, and circumstances.

My approach is compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative. I am actively engaged in the therapeutic process, bringing an inquisitive perspective and offering constructive challenge when it may help you recognise patterns, consider new possibilities, and move towards meaningful change.

With couples training at the leading institute, Tavistock Relationships, I help partners explore patterns of communication, understand recurring difficulties, rebuild connection, and work through conflict in a constructive and respectful way.

In addition to specialist couples training, I am experienced in working with neurodivergent clients and understand how neurodiversity can shape communication, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and everyday life.

If you are considering individual or couples counselling, I welcome you to get in touch to ask questions or to arrange a complimentary consultation to talk through how we might work together.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Counselling is both an emotional and financial investment, and finding the right therapist can feel daunting. That’s why I offer a complimentary video consultation, giving you the opportunity to meet me and ask any questions before committing to your first session.
I work on an open-ended basis, so you are not required to commit to a set number of sessions. Together, we can review your progress, and you can decide when you feel you have achieved what you set out to do.

I'm often unable to answer telephone calls due to being with clients, so please leave me a voicemail or send me a text (or email), and I'll get back to you asap.
