Hello! My name is Melinda. I am an experienced, BACP registered, humanistic psychotherapist and counsellor working online with adults of all ages. I work with a wide range of clients; specialisms include bereavement & loss, relationship issues, workplace stress, bullying, pre & post-cosmetic surgery counselling, body image issues, defence mechanisms, anxiety and depression. I am available Monday - Friday between 9am - 7pm.
I offer a confidential and safe space where I help clients explore the root cause of their issues and help them reconnect with their true selves. Understanding yourself at a deeper level can help you clarify what you need from life and from others to live a more meaningful life and can help you become more assertive
I have extensive experience in assessing client’s needs in a holistic manner taking into account all aspects of the person. I am vastly experienced in dealing with trauma and the effects of trauma, such as a poorly developed sense of self, lack of self-esteem, loss of relationships, loss of health, anxiety, feeling sad, depression, neglect, emotional abuse, loss of career, bereavement and so forth.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Ethical Framework.
I can work with you either on a short, medium, or long-term basis depending on what you would like to achieve from therapy. Together we can look at past and/or present issues that you feel may be holding you back from living a happier and more meaningful life.
I offer online and telephone sessions lasting 50 minutes. I meet my clients once a week however if you are experiencing severe distress and in need of more support, we can arrange to meet more often.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
