About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working online with adults of all ages.  I work with a wide range of clients; specialisms include bereavement & loss, relationship issues, workplace stress, bullying, body image issues, defence mechanisms, anxiety and depression.

I offer a confidential and safe space where I help clients explore the root cause of their issues and help them reconnect with their true selves. Understanding yourself at a deeper level can help you clarify what you need from life and from others to live a more meaningful life.

I have extensive experience in assessing clients’ needs in a holistic manner taking into account all aspects of the person. I am experienced in supporting clients with a poorly developed sense of self, lack of self-esteem, loss of relationships, loss of health, anxiety,  feeling sad, depression, neglect, emotional abuse, loss of career, bereavement and so forth.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Ethical Framework.

I can work with you either on a short, medium, or long-term basis, depending on what you would like to achieve from therapy. Together we can look at past and/or present issues that you feel may be holding you back from living a happier and more meaningful life.

I offer online and telephone sessions lasting 50 minutes. I meet my clients once a week however, if you are experiencing severe distress and in need of more support, we can arrange to meet more often.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
