Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor BSc UKCP

About me

Hi, my name is Mel, and I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Norwich.

I provide a safe, secure, and non-judgemental space where you can explore life’s challenges at your own pace. My approach is rooted in a humanistic foundation, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together. I believe healing happens through connection, and my aim is to walk alongside you — listening, supporting, and creating space for you to process whatever feels heavy or overwhelming.

I have a particular focus on working with trauma and relationship difficulties, as well as supporting those who feel lost, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps.
(I have listed below all areas I work within for your reference).

Together, we can explore your experiences, gain clarity, and find tools that support your healing and self-discovery.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to go through it alone. My hope is to instil a sense of safety, possibility, and hope as we work together towards the changes you are seeking.

My Process

When you first reach out to me, I will arrange a free introductory phone call. This gives us the opportunity to:

  • Talk through what has brought you to counselling
  • Explore how I may be able to support you
  • Answer any questions you might have

From there, we can decide together on the next steps and arrange your first session.

If you feel ready, I’d love to hear from you and support you on your journey of healing and self-discovery.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BSc-qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I have experience working with a variety of counselling needs across different age groups and life experiences. My focus is always to provide support, safety, and non-judgement, helping clients work towards healing and positive change.

Areas I Work In, but not limited to:

  • Trauma – Support for processing personal trauma, whether recent or from the past. I work gently and respectfully to explore emotional and physical impacts, offering strategies to facilitate healing.
  • Pregnancy Loss & Pregnancy Choices – Guidance and support for navigating pregnancy loss or considering options. I provide space to process grief, fears, and challenges.
  •  Bereavement – Support for coping with the loss of a loved one. Grief affects us physically, mentally, and spiritually, and I offer a safe space to process and navigate life after loss.
  • Relationships – Support for difficulties with partners, family, or friends. I provide space to be heard, explore challenges, and work on improving connection, confidence, and self-worth.
  • Abuse – Guidance and empowerment for survivors of abuse. My approach is sensitive, respectful, and patient, supporting you at your own pace while prioritising boundaries.
  • Anxiety & Depression – Support for managing feelings of anxiety or depression. I help explore underlying causes, develop coping strategies, and find pathways toward emotional balance.
  • Life’s Difficulties – Assistance with navigating everyday pressures, regaining focus, and reconnecting with yourself. I provide a safe space to reflect, prioritise, and find clarity.
