About me

Life can often be overwhelming, a life changing event, shock, grief and loss, past experiences holding you back from the life you want to live; resulting in feelings of anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and depression to name but a few. Whatever the reason you are seeking help, I can help you to navigate thoughts and feelings that are having a negative effect on your everyday life.

I offer a secure safe and confidential space for you to explore your personal issues, life experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Listening to you without judgement, offering empathy and acceptance to help you to identify what your worries are, enabling you to understand and overcome challenges to improve your well-being.

As a pluralistic practitioner, my approach draws from a range of different therapies to enable me to tailor the way I can work through a problem with you, helping you to find the best way to manage and cope with your concerns.  With a strong emphasis on working in a Person-centred way, I may use Psychodynamics along with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to gain a clear view of what we are working with, enabling you to gain an understanding and to connect to past experiences along with present behaviours; gaining the clarity needed to bring about the changes you want to make in your life.

I offer one to one Psychotherapeutic Counselling operating within the NCPS Framework for good practice. The counselling you receive may be short term and goal focused or open ended. An initial free meeting via telephone, enables us to discuss your requirements and goals for counselling. This does not commit you to further sessions unless you wish to continue in which case it is recommended that any following sessions are normally weekly, each lasting for 50 minutes.

I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and fully insured.
