Mairead Daly Child Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Integrative Therapist
I am a UKCP accredited Child Psychotherapist (MA) with over 13 years experience of offering the space for children, parents/adults, and families to explore deep internal distress and struggle within a safe and compassionate relationship. I have full insurance and hold an enhanced DBS.
As an Integrative therapist, I work with attachment, as well as many different cutting edge theoretical approaches. I can help children, young people and adults with a wide range of concerns and difficulties, and along side talking I can offer play, art and creativity to help those I work with express themselves fully and move beyond difficult experiences and associated feelings.
I offer a warm, containing, safe and empathic relationship and I draw from a wide range of intervention techniques and therapeutic approaches to find a way forward tailored to the needs, hopes and wishes of each child, parent, adult and family.
I provide one to one sessions for children and young people, one to one sessions with parents and children together, parenting sessions for those who want support in bonding with their child and/or strengthening their resources for the task of parenting and one to one adult sessions. Work can be both long or short term.
Where I work with children and young people, I work closely with parents and caregivers.
What to Expect
All work starts with an initial meeting so that we have time to gather a full history and carefully consider key areas of concern. We can then agree the best way forward together.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are at the same time and place weekly, for an agreed period of time, and are open to regular review around how things are progressing.
I am currently taking country wide remote referrals.
I look forward to hearing from you.
