About me
Hello and a warm welcome. I am a fully accredited Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist (MA) with over 16 years experience of providing therapy for children, young people, parents and adults. I have full professional insurance and an enhanced DBS and I have a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of presenting issues across all age ranges.
I offer a warm, confidential and nurturing space, where the therapeutic relationship is key, allowing safety for difficulty and distress to be shared, explored and new awareness, choices and positive change to be made.
As well as more verbal sharing, children and young people often want and need creative ways of expressing difficulty, so I draw on a wide range of creative interventions such as sand tray, art, music, drama and play. This can enable your child to express what can often feel inexpressible with words alone, and to find creative and even fun new ways of thinking and being.
I have full insurance and have an enhanced DBS and am registered with UKCP.
Work with Parents
I provide parenting sessions for those want support in bonding with their child and /or strengthening their resources for the task of parenting. I will help you decipher what your child is struggling with, we can find ways of you supporting them through whatever is troubling them, and we can also think about your parenting in order to promote more positive family interactions.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I lean on a wide range of theoretical approaches and use the best approach(s) suited specifically to your child's / your individual, unique needs.
What to Expect
I initially meet with parent(s) to discuss concerns and to take a thorough history as well as taking into consideration the your / your child's hopes and wishes for therapy. During this time we can then agree the best way forward together.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length, are on the same day and time on a weekly basis and are open to regular review.
Please do feel free to get in touch should you have any questions and/or would like to explore us working together. I very much look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
