About me

My journey into psychotherapy began with a personal inquiry into how our past experiences, relationships, and formative environments shape who we are. This curiosity led me to pursue extensive training in integrative psychotherapy, enabling me with the essential tools and experience to draw from proven therapeutic approaches to best support others.

Trained in both classical and contemporary theories and techniques, my approach incorporates contemporary relational psychoanalytic thinking and humanistic modalities. I draw on relational-developmental approaches, attachment theory, and existential tradition, alongside Person-centred and CBT techniques.

This comprehensive foundation and flexibility allows me to tailor therapy to each of my client’s unique requirements, ensuring that our work together is as effective as possible.

My experience spans a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, bereavement, trauma and addiction. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds in various settings, from private practice to mental health organisations. I provide support to individuals navigating transitions in life, while helping them build healthier relationships, overcome blockages and fears, and develop a stronger sense of self. Whether you are dealing with a specific concern or seeking broader personal growth, I am here to support you on this journey to live your life to its full potential.

In our sessions, you will find a safe, confidential and collaborative environment, in which the power of the therapeutic relationship shall facilitate meaningful change and growth. Together, we shall work to understand your challenges, uncover your inner strengths, and develop strategies to help you lead a more fulfilling life.

My clients describe me as warm, empathetic and non-judgemental, while valuing my clear and thoughtful approach in challenging established patterns to foster self-awareness and personal autonomy.

As a Fully Accredited Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I maintain the highest professional standards. Equality is a fundamental principle in my practice, and I abide by the UKCP's professional code of ethical practice for matters of confidentiality, supervision, complaints and continuing professional development.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

As an integrative psychotherapist, I incorporate various therapeutic approaches and techniques to adapt treatment to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual client. My goal is to create a flexible and holistic approach to therapy, addressing emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. I seek to understand the client as a whole, considering past experiences, current situation, thoughts, behaviours, emotions, and body awareness to help achieve lasting positive change and personal growth.

I would bring warmth, empathy, and professional, non-judgemental expertise to our sessions and together with my integrative therapeutic approach, we shall work towards the root of your concerns, develop coping strategies, improve relatability with others, while building resilience, trust, confidence and self-awareness in you.

Psychotherapy offers different approaches depending on the individual needs and goals of the client. Whether seeking focused work on specific challenges or exploring deeper patterns in life, therapeutic work can be tailored to support each person's unique journey. Together, we can determine whether short-term or long-term therapy would better serve your current situation and the personal goals you wish to achieve.

Short-term psychotherapy is more focused and structured, typically addressing specific issues or current challenges. This solution-focused approach helps develop practical strategies and insights for managing particular difficulties experienced in the present.

Long-term psychotherapy provides an opportunity for deeper exploration and lasting change. This approach examines underlying patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours, considering how past experiences influence present circumstances. It aims to bring about fundamental changes in how individuals relate to themselves and to others, fostering sustained personal growth and self-understanding.

Each 50-minute session provides a safe, confidential space where clients can explore life's challenges with my professional support and guidance. I also offer online sessions to accommodate varying schedules and preferences.
