About me
I’m an integrative,Trauma informed counsellor who works gently and collaboratively. I’m down‑to‑earth, calm, and easy to talk to. My focus is on building a trusting relationship where you feel safe enough to explore what’s going on for you, without pressure or judgement.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Our sessions move at your pace. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story ~ we figure things out together. I offer a steady, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and start making sense of your thoughts and emotions.
If any of this resonates, please feel welcome to reach out. I’d be glad to talk with you about how we might work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
Over the past 30 years, I have worked in client-centred professions, with the last five years dedicated to the homeless sector, supporting individuals with complex and overlapping needs. My work has involved walking alongside people facing significant mental health challenges, substance misuse, and the enduring impacts of trauma and loss.
I work with adults experiencing:
Trauma (including childhood and relational trauma)
Anxiety, overthinking, or constant worry
Low mood or feeling stuck
Stress, burnout, or overwhelm
Low self‑esteem or self‑criticism
Relationship or family difficulties, Life changes, loss or identity struggles.
If You’re Carrying Trauma-
Trauma can leave you feeling on edge, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. We go slowly and build safety first. You stay in control of the pace, and I support you in finding steadiness, understanding your responses, and reconnecting with yourself.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Walk and Talk Therapy
I am a trained Walk and Talk therapist and offer outdoor sessions for those who prefer a more relaxed, natural setting. Walking side‑by‑side can feel less intense than sitting in a room, and the gentle movement often helps people open up, regulate their emotions, and feel more grounded.
This approach can be especially helpful if you:
Find talking easier while moving
Feel anxious or confined indoors
Prefer a more informal, down‑to‑earth style of support
Work from home and feel isolated or stuck in the same environment
For anyone spending long hours alone or online, being outdoors can provide a much‑needed change of scene, supporting connection, clarity, and wellbeing.
Sessions move at your pace—we can walk, pause, or sit whenever you need.
If you would like to know more about walk and talk therapy, please reach out, I am happy to answer any questions.

Further information
Alongside talking therapy, I’m passionate about integrating creative methods and somatic approaches to help you explore and express your experiences in new ways. These techniques can be especially powerful in reducing anxiety and supporting emotional regulation.
Sometimes words aren’t enough, or they may feel too difficult or painful to access. In those moments, creativity and body-based practices can offer fresh insights and open up new paths to healing. I have a deep love for all things creative, and my therapy space is stocked with a wide range of materials for you to use freely. You're always welcome to ask me more about how these tools can support your journey.
I offer Walk and Talk, face-to-face, online and telephone sessions from my private therapy space, designed to be calm, tranquil, and safe.
